Identify the transmission by its tag

Heavy-duty transmissions carry a data tag or plate on the casing with the model and serial number, and often a part number such as a ZF or Komatsu reference. Photograph the tag before you contact us, together with the make and year of the truck or machine and the engine it is bolted to. Volvo I-Shift units need the right software and control unit, and Caterpillar and Komatsu plant transmissions are matched by part number and arrangement.

What to check before you buy

  • Input spline, bell housing and flywheel size against your engine.
  • Ratios and number of speeds to suit your diff and application.
  • Whether the unit includes a torque converter, transfer case, retarder or PTO.
  • Control units, wiring and shifters on automated and automatic boxes.

Condition and supply

Most truck transmissions we list are used units sourced from US auctions. Each listing gives the model and part number where known, plus fitted extras such as a transfer case.

Warranty and delivery

Warranty on truck transmissions is confirmed in writing with your quote. Electronics, sensors, seals and clutches are excluded. We dispatch from Potchefstroom to all nine provinces and to Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini and Malawi.
