Beyond supplying the unit, we help you find the right one, get it fitted and get it across the border.
Most customers come to us for an engine or transmission, but the unit is only part of the job. These are the extra services we offer to get the right unit into your vehicle with less hassle.
Sourcing to order
If the engine or gearbox you need is not in stock, send us the details and we will look for it through our supply channels. We only quote once we have found a unit that matches your codes, and we give you a realistic lead time with the price.
VIN fitment checks
Many models were built with more than one engine and gearbox. Send us your VIN and we will confirm the correct engine code, gearbox type and any differences in sensors, mounts or wiring before you buy. It saves a wasted delivery and a vehicle standing on the hoist waiting for the right unit.
Fitment through partner workshops
We can arrange fitment through partner workshops that are registered with the RMI. They fit the unit to the standard our warranty requires and supply the invoice you need to register it. Labour is quoted and charged by the workshop.
Heavy-duty sourcing
For truck and bus operators we source heavy-duty diesel engines and transmissions. Send us the chassis number, engine serial number and transmission model, and we will come back with what is available and the warranty that applies, confirmed in writing with the quote.
SADC export paperwork
We deliver to eight neighbouring countries and prepare the export documents your clearing agent needs at the border. Customs duties and import charges are for the buyer’s account.
Trade accounts
Workshops and fleet operators that buy regularly can apply for our Workshop Trade Partner Programme, which offers extended warranty on approved units, priority technical support and volume-based pricing, subject to approval.

Frequently asked questions
Do you fit engines yourselves?
We supply the unit and can arrange fitment through partner workshops that are RMI-registered. The workshop quotes and invoices the labour, and their invoice is what you use to register the warranty.
How long does sourcing to order take?
It depends on the unit and where it has to come from. Once we have your VIN or engine code we will tell you whether we can source it and give you a realistic time frame with the quote.
Can you help with paperwork for delivery outside South Africa?
Yes. We prepare the export documents for deliveries to Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini and Malawi. Customs duties and import charges in the destination country are paid by the buyer.
